PAMELA J. HEIM
Office Projects Manager
Pam Heim, Administrative Assistant/Office Manager, joined the staff of Career Development System in 1998, as a secretary.  She was promoted to Administrative Assistant/Office Manager in 2000 and in 2007 was named Office Projects Manager.  Among Pam’s duties are:
  • Support secretary to CDS Executive Director
  • Event coordinator for annual College & Career Expo
  • Event coordinator for summer teacher externships
  • Develop and maintain CDS databases
  • Maintain CDS website
  • Meeting coordination (mailing, materials, catering, etc.)
  • Conference coordination (registration, travel, housing, etc.)
  • Supervision and coordination of physical office needs
  • Preparation of grant applications, amendments, updates and final reports; maintenance of grant data in WPG software; management of district purchasing; and entering and submitting ISBE electronic expenditure reports
  • Review incoming bills and prepare for payment, prepare financial reports, and assist in annual audit
  • Maintain personnel records and files, assist in recruitment process, and supervise student worker
  • Assist in coordination of special projects (workshops, inservices, externships, etc.)
Mrs. Heim attended Prairie State College and South Suburban College, and is MOUS Certified in Microsoft Access.  Prior to working with Career Development System, she was employed by the Thornton Fire Department as an administrative assistant.  She developed her own home-based computer business and presently owns and operates her own business as an independent advisor for a nation-wide jewelry company. 

She also worked for Francorp, Inc., in Olympia Fields, a consulting firm specializing in franchise development, where she was the assistant controller. 

Pam brings more than 20 years of office experience to CDS, with special emphasis in organization.
