Summer Integrated Teacher Experience June 24-27, 2008

What is S.I.T.E.?
	This exciting allows educators to visit a variety of work settings, choosing from each of the six career interest areas. New this year, Career Development System is partnering with Moraine Area Career System for this program. Participants will meet local business and industry leaders, discuss education, skills and attitudes essential for employment in today's competitive environment, and hear about employment opportunities. This program is open to K-14 certified faculty, counselors and administrators in the CDS and MACS regions.

What types of activities will there be?
	A list of S.I.T.E. visits are listed below. Accepted applicants will be notified by E-MAIL of their assigned visitation schedule. Unless otherwise noted, participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from each site. Visits will be 2-4 hours each. Details of each visit will be provided in advance. Participants are urged to visit the corresponding websites prior to S.I.T.E. week.

What else do I need to know?
	The Summer Integrated Teacher Experience participants will share their experiences with their school/district by writing an implementation plan for each visit, using a provided format. A compendium of all plans will be published and posted on this website.

How much is the tuition?
	NOTHING! In fact, participating educators will receive a stipend per approved and completed S.I.T.E. visit, and upon the submission of a follow-up report for each visit as outlined above. Reports must be received by CDS June 30, 2008.

Will participants be able to earn CPDUs?
	Yes! Career Development System is an ISBE approved provider for programs, and interested attendees will earn CPDUs, upon completion.

What is the application deadline?
	The Career Development System office must receive APPLICATIONS by Friday, April 25, 2008 at 4:00 p.m.
